    • 2:1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 3:4-5 garlic cloves, sliced
    • 4:2-3 green chilies, chopped

    • Instructions:

    • a. Rinse the lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for about 30 minutes. b. In a pressure cooker, add soaked lentils, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. c. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil begins to separate. d. Add the meat pieces and brown them on all sides. e. Add enough water to cover the meat and let it simmer until the meat is tender and cooked through.
    • Combine Daal and Gosht:
    • a. Mix the cooked daal with the cooked meat. Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed. b. Simmer for some time to allow the flavors to meld.
    • Prepare Tadka:
      1. a. In a small pan, heat ghee or oil for tempering. b. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. c. Add sliced garlic and chopped green chilies. Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown.

      2. Serve:

        a. Pour the tempering over the Daal Gosht and mix well. b. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. c. Serve hot with naan or rice.
